Retreat for Northern Rivers Social Workers and VS Counsellors in Private Practice
With Linda de Milford
June 19 - 21, 2026
Welcome to the second annual Retreat for Northern Rivers Social Workers and Victims Services counsellors in private practice. Following on from the success of last year’s retreat, we are excited to welcome you to this opportunity to connect with and be supported by other therapists doing similar work in private practice in the northern rivers region. You will receive a nourishing gift bag on arrival, with a range of teas, coffees and snacks provided throughout the weekend. Three healthy and delicious vegetarian meals per day will be provided, along with optional daily yoga and relaxation classes.
Our retreat is held in a beautiful, spacious and private meeting space (Radha Hall) with access to a deck kitchen with fridge (suitable for vegetarian food only!). As the hall is located towards the rear of Krishna Village, it is very peaceful and quiet with an expansive outlook. There are a range of accommodation options ranging from standalone cabins with ensuites, to camping, to daily commuter access. If you are seeking accommodation closest to the retreat venue, consider one of the Bhakti rooms, or a cabin nearby to Radha Hall.
Retreat participants are invited to facilitate or lead a session of interest, which may involve a sharing of knowledge, skills, or processes. This is completely voluntary. You are also welcome to share your business cards, flyers, products or services.
Accommodation check in commences from 2pm on Friday, followed by an Opening circle with Cacao ceremony at 3:30pm.The retreat ends on Sunday at midday with closing reflections, goodbyes and lunch. The full retreat program will be emailed directly to you once finalised.
One of the outcomes from last year’s retreat has been the development of a ‘Whatsapp’ group for retreatants, which has allowed for ongoing connection, sharing and support. As a retreatant you will be invited to join this group after the conclusion of the retreat.
AASW CPD points are available for Category 3: Professional Identity under the professional networking type. Last year 7 hours of CPD points were claimable. The cost of the retreat is fully tax deductable. We do look forward to meeting and connecting with you.
